The Wedding Experience

Weddings move quickly, and the best photographs come from days that are thoughtfully planned but not over-managed. My approach is centered on helping you feel prepared and present, so the moments that matter most can unfold naturally while I document them as they happen.

From booking to final gallery delivery, this page outlines what working together looks like and how I support you throughout the process.

Booking

Once you decide to move forward, your date is officially reserved with a signed contract and retainer. From there, we’ll begin talking through coverage needs, priorities, and any questions that come up along the way. I’m available for guidance throughout the planning process, not just on the wedding day itself.

Engagement and Bridal Sessions

Engagement and bridal sessions are optional to add on but highly recommended. Engagement sessions are a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera, learn how I work, and create images you can use for save-the-dates, guest books, or your wedding website. Bridal sessions allow time for more relaxed portraits in wedding attire without the pressure of a full wedding day timeline.  Pro tip: schedule your bridal hair and makeup trial on the morning of your bridal portrait session to maximize the experience.

You’re welcome to choose one, both, or neither. Each serves a different purpose, and I’m happy to help you decide what makes the most sense for your plans.

Timeline Guidance

I provide timeline assistance focused specifically on photography. This includes guidance on how much time to allow for portraits, when certain moments photograph best, and advice on the order of events to keep the day moving smoothly without feeling rushed.

My goal is not to over-schedule your day, but to help build in enough breathing room so you can actually enjoy it.

First Look Considerations

A first look is a personal choice, and there’s no right or wrong option.

Some couples love the privacy and calm of seeing each other before the ceremony. It allows time for quiet moments, private vows or gift exchanges, and often makes it easier to complete portraits earlier while everyone is fresh.  It also saves time after the ceremony so the couple doesn't miss their whole cocktail hour.

Others prefer the tradition of seeing each other for the first time down the aisle, knowing that moment will happen in front of their guests. I’m happy to walk through both options with you and help you decide what best fits your vision and priorities.

Wedding Day Coverage

On the wedding day, I work with a photojournalistic approach. I’ll offer gentle direction when needed, but much of my focus is on documenting real interactions, in-between moments, and the overall feel of the day as it naturally unfolds.

I aim to be present without being intrusive, allowing you and your guests to stay fully in the moment.

Gallery Delivery

Your full wedding gallery will be delivered within 60 days of your wedding. Galleries are provided as a private, password-protected online collection with full-resolution images available for download. Each gallery has its own unique web address and will remain live for 30 days from the delivery date.

Sneak peeks are shared sooner so you’ll have images to enjoy and share while the full gallery is being carefully completed.
